Why Me?

Have you ever sat and pondered why you were placed in the situation you were? Why were you born in the geographic location with the opportunities before you, while other people seem to have a constant uphill battle due largely in part to the circumstances surrounding their birth?

This topic has been pressing on my mind since I have been back from Haiti. Why do I have the opportunities I have, while others fight everyday for a chance for education and food?

This isn't meant to put you in a depressing mood, but rather to look at why you were placed in the place you are. You have been given a unique opportunity to help others that many people do not have. How are you going to use?

Instead of feeling sorry for people who have been dealt a bad hand from life, make a difference in there lives by investing in them. It will help you as much as it helps them, if not more.

Since Christmas is right around the corner, I want to urge you to take a step back and truly count your blessings. Thank God for the opportunities you have been given. Spend time with your family because you never know how much longer you will be together. Cherish the moments and help others who are less fortunate.
